Description

Tali Ayer, a traditional stone built country house located in a central position in Nairn. Guests can be assured of a warm welcome and enjoy a hearty breakfast & a comfortable stay in a house which was built in Victorian times for a leading business family. There are a range of bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms, which following extensive renovation and redecoration offer a high standard of accommodation. The rooms are furnished with a range of furniture made from oak or mahogany with a selection of beds; Super King-size to single. Bathrooms, which all have showers & some with baths including a traditional cast slipper bath are either tiled or clad in granite & have quiet running extractor fans, touch & automatic defrost mirrors & movement sensitive lighting. Several also have traditional writing desks & suitable lighting, which in common with all rooms have WiFi and Freeview TV. Traditional Victorian fireplaces with their unusually colored tiles are found in many rooms, which highlights efforts to preserve original features of the house. The dining room is traditionally decorated with oil paintings and old prints of Highland scenes & the style of dress warn by different clans. In this setting traditional breakfast is provided & arrangements can be made for early breakfasts and packed lunches. Tali Ayer is close to all amenities: restaurants, transport terminals, shops, beach & golf courses. Nairn is in an ideal location for those indulging in country pursuits, whether shooting, fishing or hill walking. With two championship golf courses & a short drive from many more Nairns position is ideal. Drying facilities are provided to all guests, which is a necessity with our varying weather & the large secluded garden & patio offers an ideal place to have afternoon tea, when the weather is suitable after a day of golf, walking or touring.   • Train from Nairn Train Station (0.2 miles)
    It is only 3 mins walk from Nairn Station. Take right after crossing Cawdor Rd. First house on Millbank Crescent is Tali Ayer and is directly opposite War Memorial.
  • Air from Inverness Airport (9.1 miles)
    It is 16 mins drive from the Airport. Follow A96 heading for Aberdeen. On entering Nairn after 13 miles drive you will see the Newton Hotel sign on your left roughly 50 yards from this sign, take first right turn which is Waverley Rd and drive straight on until you see the War Memorial. When crossing the junction you are entering Millbank Crescent and first gate on your right is Tali Ayer.
