Its name ‘glyn hir’ means ‘long valley’ and describes the way the mansion was built on a plateau above a seven mile long wooded gorge at the foot of the Black Mountains. Glynhir offers both B&B in the 17th century mansion and self catering accommodation in four historic cottages.
We are a four star hostel in the lovely historic town of Llandovery that was once an old Drovers town, where the cattle and sheep were driven from town to town to later be sold. Our hostel is clean and modern we have some bunk beds and some private rooms. We have thirty five beds in total.
