Have you ever been to Blackpool? Everyone must go at least once – and as with most things in life, once is never enough! The town has been busy re-inventing itself over the last few years, with 5 star B&Bs and guesthouses opening up alongside the wealth of good value, cheap hotels in Blackpool offering accommodation for every budget. There are new restaurants, massive investment in the seafront with new public art installations such as the Comedy Carpet celebrating the jokes, songs and catchphrases of over 1,000 comedians, and world-class entertainment with shows like Cats and Mamma Mia playing there.
New attractions such as Illuminasia have joined much-loved favourites such as the Blackpool Pleasure Beach (the UK’s best amusement park according to TripAdvisor), the Sea Life Centre, Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Zoo and no less than three piers. The beautifully restored Winter Gardens and the architectural splendour of the Grand Theatre offer a beautiful link to Blackpool’s past.
With so much to see and do you‘ll need to come back again. And we haven’t even mentioned the 6 miles of beaches or the million lights of the Blackpool Illuminations!
