Description

Fully refurbished friendly, family run hotel, ideally situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park, the Parkside Hotel offers modern accommodation, views of the Fells, free WiFi and free onsite parking. The rooms feature flat-screen TVs and comfortable beds. All rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries. The restaurant serves a wide selection of modern and traditional home cooked dishes in the evening and a full Sunday roast, available all day. The bar serves real ales and local beers as well as wines and spirits. The Parkside Hotel is just 15 minutes drive from the award winning beach at St.Bees and 20 minutes from the market town of Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, well known for its speciality shops. Convenient for Westlakes Science Park, Albion Square and Sellafield. Easy access to the nearby maritime port and Georgian town of Whitehaven. Located right on the C2C cycle path just past Cleator Moor - a perfect stop over for Coast to Coast cyclists, particularly for those arriving later in the day. Dip your wheels in the harbour at Whitehaven and then travel the short distance to Parkside for an early start the following day with a full Cumbrian Breakfast included to see you on your way.
