Access to the rooms is from the outside, there is a ramp to the rooms and then a small threshold step. These rooms are our largest and will suit people staying for long or short periods. There are also tables and chairs outside the rooms, which is a real sun trap.
Each room has the following:
Zip-up beds that can be used as either a super-king size double or twin beds
LCD televisions with Sky freeview
Ceiling speakers in both the bedroom and bathroom
Telephone (only Vodaphone seems to work around here)
Tea and Coffee making facilities

Three rooms have both shower and extra wide bath, whilst the fourth has a walk-in shower.

Access to the rooms is from the existing staircase inside, this is quite steep and is not suitable for the elderly. These rooms have real character, with exposed roof beams and window seats. With the age of the building, there is not as much storage space and so these rooms suit shorter stays or people travelling light

Please feel free to join us any lunch time or evening to partake of some fine wines, beers and of course our renowned food. You are welcome to bring your family, friends, colleagues or just pop in on your own.
We have eight en-suite bedrooms, four in the old skittle alley and the remainder upstairs above the pub. All our rooms have been decorated by interior designer Chrissy Potter and we hope you like them as much as we do.
There is some beautiful countryside surrounding our pub with some super walks all around the valley.
As you would expect, situated in the heart of Dorset, we have fabulous produce virtually on our doorstep. Below is a list of our suppliers:

George Tucker Butchers in Dorchester, who supplies us with beef from Middlemarsh and Higher Waterstone, lamb from Askerswell and rare breed pork from Godmanstone.

Margret Ralph in Dorchester for all locally sourced venison, pigeon and rabbit
Local Shoots for partridge and pheasant in season

Samways of Bridport for locally landed fish
West Country Catch of Dorchester for Weymouth and Brixham fish
