The Bell At Skenfrith Information

Description

Welcome to The Bell at Skenfrith a lovely 17th Century Country Inn with multi award winning Restaurant and Rooms in an idyllic location on the River Monnow surrounded by the rolling hills of Monmouthshire and Herefordshire. Locally sourced meats and produce, supplemented by our own kitchen garden are used to create all our dishes which are freshly prepared and cooked to order. Our extensive and very fairly priced Wine list allows wine lovers to indulge their passions with a clear conscience! An extensive range of wines by glass including Champagne and our half bottle list allows a range of Wines to be enjoyed over a lunch or dinner. Local ales, ciders and local wines complete the experience. Whether dining al fresco on the terrace or simply enjoying a sundowner, or relaxing on a settee in front of log fire we always try to help our guests relax in real country atmosphere. The complete lack of mobile phone coverage is a great bonus but WiFi can keep you in touch and is freely available. Being a great area for walkers we have six special circular walks from The Bell and as walkers often have dogs, we are dog friendly in the Hotel and the bars. We even have a dog bath and dog towels for our muddier four legged friends. Other local activities include fishing, Golf including the famous Rolls of Monmouth, cycling, visiting the many Castles and Churches, and exploring the County and market towns in the vicinity such as Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. In Skenfrith we have a Castle and a 12th Century Church. The bedrooms at The Bell are all very individual and have mainly King and Superking beds, some of which are handmade four posters, some twins and of course all have en-suite facilities many with showers as well as baths. Some of the south facing warmer rooms also have air conditioning. All have free Wifi. Free parking.
