Primrose Lodge Information

Description

Welcome to Primrose Lodge. We are a friendly, family-run bed and breakfast situated on the outskirts of the lovely village of Dunnington, just five miles from York city centre and two miles from Grimston Bar Park & Ride (the cheapest and easiest way to get in to York). Our property is surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, with a large garden at the front - perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a day out. All of our rooms are a fantastic size, have their own individual ground-floor entrances and can accommodate between two and five guests. Each room has an en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, digital TV with Freeview, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and ironing facilities. We also provide ample free parking. You will be greeted with complimentary tea, coffee or hot chocolate on arrival, as well as a slice of our homemade chocolate cake! We offer delicious cooked breakfasts which can be served at flexible times; choose from a traditional 'Full English' or one of our continental or lighter options. We are located within walking distance of two pubs which serve delicious homemade food at lunchtime and evenings. If you would like us to make a reservation for you prior to your arrival, we will be more than happy to do so. York is a hugely popular destination. It is host to many attractions, including the world famous York Minster, Clifford's Tower, the National Railway Museum and many more. Each of our rooms contain a comprehensive guide to attractions in York and the surrounding areas. York Racecourse is just a 15 minute drive away, while York Maze, Elvington Airfield and the Yorkshire Farming Museum are located less than two miles down the road. We are also just two miles from the A64, which provides direct access to Leeds (a 35 minute drive) and Scarborough (a one hour drive). The historic towns of Harrogate and Knaresborough are within a 45 minute drive, as are two stunning National parks - the Dales and the North York Moors.
