"A welcome visit back to Kegworth House Hotel"
We were visiting our daughter who is at Uni locally & living in Kegworth. We like to stay at Kegworth House. It is an individual hotel not one of a chain. Each room is different. Building is old & quirky so several staircases and different level. Rooms are pleasant, clean & comfortable. We ordered drinks which were delivered to our room. Also old furniture and paintings. "Always such a pleasure!"
I have stayed in this hotel on many occasions (in different rooms) and it never fails to deliver excellent service. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Softest sheets with beautiful bedding, iron, hairdryer, safe, TV, toiletries, welcome tray with biscuits, bathrobe, dvd player (can borrow if you wish) - breakfast cooked to order at a time you prefer. The hotel is gorgeous with a lovely atmosphere from owners and staff. I would recommend to anyone. Read less
Likes: Handy for local restaurant(s), Kegworth Town - and, in my case, particularly handy for the Sutton Bonnington Campus of the University.

Likes: The breakfast room was fabulous. Lots of fruit and pastries on offer sat round a large table with other guests with no rush. The staff were amazing too and the chef a real character!
Dislikes: That I only stayed one night. I wanted to stay another and would definitely return!

Kegworth House dates back over 350 years and is a distinctly English residence situated in Kegworth village. The heritage and history is evident and the elegant Georgian facade conceals a stone-flagged hallway that leads into the welcoming and relaxing drawing room with an open fire, comfortable sofas and easy arm chairs. Also to the front of the house, the formal dining room is furnished with antiques atop a polished oak floor and dominated by the c17th mahogany 12 seat dining table and chairs - enchanting and charming surroundings for candlelit suppers. The hall continues on to the bright and inviting, casual, family-style, kitchen where full English and Continental award winning breakfasts are served to all guests around the large, refectory-style table. Kegworth House is the ideal location for genteel celebrations and social gatherings – birthdays, Christenings, anniversaries and retirement celebrations for up to 20 guests can be accommodated in the house. Larger events, of up to 100, use marquees on the lawn whilst smaller, more intimate dinner parties for up to 12 guests take place in the luxurious surroundings of the formal dining room after drinks or cocktails in the loung. Kegworth House is fully licensed and offers a well-stocked cellar with quality wines. Eleven beautifully appointed, en-suite, double bedrooms (four of which feature 'Queen size' beds) are located on three floors - each individually designed and featuring the modern day comforts that make this historical home a perfect retreat. The hotel is loved by guests and this is recognised by their reviews leading to its recent Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.
