My boyfriend and I stayed at The Red Lion for two nights as I had some work to do nearby on one of the days. The Red Lion was one of a few B&B's I looked at with equally convenient locations. My main reason for choosing The Red Lion was the claim of good pizza and the look of the rooms - I paid more for the luxury of a large four-poster, however, as a business traveller I would never stay anywhere without wi-fi and was very disappointed to discover theirs didn't work! Likes: The room was spacious and attractive, as was the bathroom which had a very nice shower. The staff were friendly when we arrived and the pub downstairs seemed to be the heart of the village.
Dislikes: Free wi-fi promised which didn't work - real let down!! No special veggie breakfast. The blind in the bedroom was broken so very bright at night. White hairs on cushions. No non-allergenic bedding.

o Shop locally- we utilise our butcher as much as possible not only because we think its important to support our local community but also because he provides us with top quality produce. We also utilise our florist, vegetable market, ironmongers and local egg producer.We try and feature local outstanding Devon produce including some exceptional micro breweries located 5 miles from Chulmleigh.Our kitchen also is very conscious of food miles by making sure we don’t serve asparagus in January and concentrating on what’s in season.By purchasing Fairtrade tea and coffee we help to protect the rainforests in South America as well as the working and social conditions of the small farmers/workers in the producing countries. Using natural cleaning products such as Ecover, as much as possible to reduce our impact on the environmen
