"Lovely hotel in a spectacular peaceful setting"
We needed a short break that was not too far from Manchester but one that took us to an entirely different environment. Snowdonia was an area we had not visited before and it was only a two-hour drive. It seemed like the ideal location. Read less

The area was so peaceful with fresh air and a spectacular landscape. The hotel was warm and welcoming with beautifully decorated rooms and en suite bathrooms.
Dislikes:
When we made the booking, we were asked if we had any special requests. We stated my partner could not eat pork but he was not offered any hot vegetarian option except for scrambled eggs at breakfast.

The Saracens Head Inn is located in the beautiful village of Beddgelert in the heart of Snowdonia.

The hotel stands beside the rushing River Colwyn beneath steep mountain slopes. The Saracens Head, with its comfortable rooms, excellent eating areas and welcoming staff is the perfect base from which to explore the countryside and coastline of North Wales. The fine scenery of the Snowdonia National Park is right on the doorstep - mountain-ringed lakes and rushing rivers, the famous beauty spot of the Aberglaslyn Pass, cool, green forests and, of course, Snowdon itself, the highest peak in England and Wales.

There is no need to leave your dog behind as we accept well-behaved dogs in our four Superior class rooms at no extra charge. They are also more than welcome in the bar area downstairs.

Open throughout the year, we aim to provide a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, personal attention and high standards of comfort and cuisine.
