"A lovely break in a great location"
We stayed for 3 nights and had based ourselves in beddgelert as we wanted to do plenty of hiking including Snowdon. The room was beautiful, has just been refurbished and was gorgeous. The shower was amazing and the room had everything we needed. Beddgelert itself is beautiful with lots of walks to suit everyone. We had one evening meal at Saracens which was really very nice. We would definitely say again. Read less

Pleasant hotel and staff, in a lovely picturesque village.
Dislikes:
Saturday evening bar service disappointing; we had to wait some 90 minutes for our food (ordered 8.20, served 9.50) with a few apologies but we were left with the feeling that we had been forgotten

The Saracens Head Inn is located in the beautiful village of Beddgelert in the heart of Snowdonia.

The hotel stands beside the rushing River Colwyn beneath steep mountain slopes. The Saracens Head, with its comfortable rooms, excellent eating areas and welcoming staff is the perfect base from which to explore the countryside and coastline of North Wales. The fine scenery of the Snowdonia National Park is right on the doorstep - mountain-ringed lakes and rushing rivers, the famous beauty spot of the Aberglaslyn Pass, cool, green forests and, of course, Snowdon itself, the highest peak in England and Wales.

There is no need to leave your dog behind as we accept well-behaved dogs in our four Superior class rooms at no extra charge. They are also more than welcome in the bar area downstairs.

Open throughout the year, we aim to provide a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, personal attention and high standards of comfort and cuisine.
