Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic local atmosphere in the busy bar. Yummy breakfast made earlier than was normal to accommodate my early start.

Looking forward to staying again.

Likes:
The cosy room and its views; the helpful staff. The garden was very attractive. We liked the sound of the river; also the fact that the food was locally sourced. The beer and wine were excellent.

The Anchor Inn is a traditional pub, restaurant and B&B with six letting bedrooms. Overlooking beautiful rural surroundings shaped by the river Exe, it is situated on the southern tip of Exmoor near the village of Dulverton.
The front of the Inn features a characterful historic bar which once entertained the celebrated English novelist R.D. Blackmore in the 19th century and features in his classic Lorna Doone.
Overlooking the riverside garden is our large restaurant; serving fresh homemade food which takes advantage of Somerset and Devonshire's excellent local produce.
We specialise in fresh fish and seafood, excellent deserts, hospitality and a warm welcome, we also welcome dogs.

We have six letting bedrooms available to cater for a variety of requirements, from families to individuals. All stays are accompanied by a traditional Exmoor breakfast.
