Description

The George Borrow Hotel is a famous and renowned 17th century family run hotel set in the stunning Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales. The Hotel is perched on the edge of the Rheidol Gorge, with mountain views from most of its rooms. Relax with the Stunning views of the Cambrian Mountains. Whilst only being 20 minuets drive away from Aberystwyth and the wonderful Cardigan Coastline Bays. ROOMS:- All rooms are en-suite with shower rooms. The rooms are located on two floors assessable by stairs only . There is NO lift at the property and no disabled rooms , some are larger than others with period features and all offer a high standard of cleanness , Tea and coffee making facilities, tv. Wireless internet. We do not accept dogs or pets in the room. PARKING:- There is ample of car parking outside the hotel and limited lock-up for motorcycles and bicycles is available. . DINNING:- From 17:00 - We offer a wide selection of traditional food, With many home-made items on our menu. We also cater for vegetarians and vegans. Sunday carvery available 12:00-14:00 in 2 sittings ( booking advisable ). BAR:- Open from 17:00 weekdays, 15:00 Saturdays, 12:00 Sundays . Enjoy a drink in one of our bar, where you can relax by log fires and sample drinks from a Welsh Brewery GROUP HOLIDAYS:- The Hotel welcomes and caters for the following groups:- 4x4 Groups / Mountain Bikers / Enduro Bikers / Walkers-Ramblers / Fishing Groups / Birdwatchers / Rally Teams / Golfers / Bikers.
