Value for money

Stay was for 2 nghts Friday & Saturday, I found Andrew very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and there was a bowl of fruit that you could help yourself to throughout the day if wanted. tea & coffe in the room which was topped up each day and more available if you asked, + a small frige in the room.
The room was very basic and the tv was very small and could be updated, the bed was not the most comfortable.
But this was not an expensive place to stay and was value for money Read more

Response

Yes we agree TV's do need to be updated, this however would cost £150 for tv + £50 for bracket, re-wiring for Power and Co-axel cables £100 X 7 =£2100 + VAT = £2150 Even charging £80 for a weekends B&B it's going to take a lot of saving up to get there. Especially with the increases in Heating lighting water and council tax bills but get there we will no doubt.

T.V needs to be upgraded, would be better if it was a flat screen on the wall. As it was right by the door to the toilet and was easily be knocked

Central location - great hosts!

This is a central location which was very convenient in terms of Newquay itself and Cornwall in general. It was ideal for exploring Cornwall on my motorbike. Read more

Response

Thank's Roger, drop by anytime for a cuppa!

Likes?
The owners were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They have secure motorbike parking which was ideal given the town centre location.
Dislikes?
If you can't deal with or get used to the noise of people making their way home after a good night out, this may not be the place for you. I was not troubled by it and would happily stay here again.

Great central location

Not always easy to find a single room which is en suite & doesn't charge a fortune, so staying at The Silver Jubilee was definate value for money. The fruit bowl at the front door was a nice touch. Read more

Many thanks for that Lesley, it was a pleasure looking after you I hope that any time you are down this way you would look us up and have a coffee. Andrew.

excellent little b&b can not fault anything

Was going to cornwall for a wedding but really wanted to stay on because it just felt so relaxing Read more

Response

Many thanks for your comments and review. Yes the Car Park used to be the back garden, hence the size. When the houses were built we didn't have cars at all in Newquay, just horses and being in the centre of Town there is nowhere to expand. So as a note to others, keep comeing in your Ford Fiestas and Nisa Micras LOL :-)

i loved that the hotel had everything you needed in the room from kettle and hair dryer to mini fridge and plates if your wanting to bring your own food.

my only one little slight problem would have been the parking the spaces are very small we just about got a small ford fiesta in the space i would never of got my renault scenic in
