Arrived late afternoon after a delayed flight, check-in swift and friendly. Relaxed and friendly attitude from staff throughout. Collected fluffy towels from reception (small fee) and had a lovely time on the beach and then fun in the good-sized pool, even had 2 minutes in the sauna (book 1 hour before you want it). Dinner was 'when you are ready'and was relaxed and unhurried in the room with the fabulous sea views. Back there for a delicious breakfast and we were off. Read more

I stayed one night with my boyfriend but I would have stayed longer. Our room had an amazing sea view. Lovely room, clean, comfortable. Only the bathroom was tiny. Free car park and free wi-fi. There is also private steps from the hotel to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was good with coffee, natural juices, croissants and fruit. I would like to had cheese and ham, but we just had butter and jam. Read more

Our first visit here was 30 years ago and this visit brought back many happy memories. The hotel has adapted to the changes of its clientele but the quality remains the same. Its usp has to be the views and its proximity to Newquay which are second to none in the area. Read more

Excellent view from bedroom window, the room itself was good but the bathroom was much too small, after having a bath or shower had to dry in the main bedroom. The bathroom suite was dated and the shower was abysmal. The dining room was light and airy with good views but the food was mediocre. Was the tomato soup on Sunday 14th September out of a tin? The breakfast was average and the evening meal menu left a lot to be desired. Only ate there once and that was enough. The staff were friendly Read more

This is by far the best hotel in Newquay from what we saw. It has the best location with excellent sea/beach views and has easy access to the beach. Our room was great with a sea view and the staff were very nice and friendly. It is also close to the town centre and shops. Great value for money and can not fault it. We would now only ever stay in this hotel when we hopefully return to Newquay. Read more

I had a very pleasant stay, although my first impression was not great as the lady on reception was fairly unfriendly. My room was comfortable, although was very tatty in decor. The bathroom smelt musty and the carpet all over the floor and up the side of the bath felt unhygienic. The peeling wallpaper and rusty shelving felt poor quality. The bed was extremely comfortable though, and the breakfast was superb, added to which, the staff on breakfast duty were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Read more
We checked in early at 12o'clock, (not normally availible til 2pm). Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room which I can only describe as a small apartment - we'd booked a double room, and ended up in a family room. It was huge, decor was slightly dated but clean and tidy nonetheless. Bathroom was clean with fresh towels and toiletries availible. Slept really well overnight. And enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning. Read more

Hi, Thanks for the Review, we are pleased you had a nice stay with us. You were absolutely right it was very cold, we only have central heating on the ground floor and electric heating in bedrooms which is usually more than enough. We don't open in the winter but nobody told Spring it was Spring! Coldest Easter for 100 years apparently according to records! Sorry we couldn't get the place warm enough. Hope we see you again in warmer times.

We were made to feel at home straight away. The room was very comfortable and situated so that we could see the cliffs, sea and beach which my wife enjoyed immensely. The staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Carol, the receptionist has a very dry sense of humour and kept us laughing. Nigel and Jane the managers/owners did all they could to ensure all the guests enjoyed their stay. We very much enjoyed the banter we shared with the ladies who served the breakfast. Read more

My wife and I had a very good stay at Trebarwith hotel. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They served with a smile - they seem to love thier jobs! We stayed for 8 days holiday. This is the first time that we had stayed at this hotel. We were greeting at reception and even though we arrived early our room was ready and we were able to go straight to the room. The hotel was reasonable perhaps a little tired looking. Interesting review - thankyou. I am sorry the hotel is in Newquay and hope you do not feel we have been misleading in any way we will review how we describe the location of our hotel so that people are aware of our location as ' An oasis in the heart of Newquay'. I am sorry we have children in the hotel, this happens usually during school holidays, we do market ourselves as a family hotel for families and couples rather than stag and hen groups. Deliveries are not made at front but rear of hotel

We were impressed with the seaview from our room. We were unhappy about the noise from the neighbouring room as the sliding doors to the wardrobes were continually being opened and closed. Sorry about the pillows if you found them a bit hard, we do offer foam filled pliiows as an alternative
upon request usually for guests with feather alergies. Yes it has been a bit stuffy recently, totally agree,
again we have fans available for rooms if they get too hot around about this time of year.
Once inside, hotel comfortable. We thought there could be more signage (to swimming pool and cinema (and what was being shown) as had to ask. Overall we enjoyed our stay and thought effort was made to ensure our comfort. This we appreciated. Lovely clifftop walks which could be mentioned on hotel noticeboard. Actually a peaceful hotel very near a noisy Newquay! Pity the town is so run down and so geared to the young - its the more mature who would bring in the money! Read more

We continue to update each year 2010 so far includes new flat screen tv's, new bathrooms and wifi upgrades which we thought was working fine ( you get 6 hours not 2) until this review, thank you we will check it out. The water pressure can vary from time to time but generally works well. We prefer to cook and serve breakfast fresh and hot rather than a buffet just our opinion. We have no lift becasue there is nowhere to put one without a major rebuild.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful location overlooking the sea. The room we had was very grubby and old fashioned.
