Beautiful lake views to wake up to.

A lovely weekend beside Lake Ullswater, taking in some of the local sights and pubs. Highlight was an early morning walk to the summit of Helvelyn, and GHH is an excellent base from which to tackle all of these. Read more

Lovely lakeside views, beautiful and spacious bedroom, car not needed to access the fells. Lynne, our host, was charming, friendly, met us at the door on and attentive the entire weekend to our needs.

Lovely large bathroom, with great bath, but puzzled at no shower?
Very relaxing lounge, but no facility for pre-dinner drinks, other than very limited wine selection.

We did have very noisy neighbours the first two nights. Their voices, including conversation could be heard through the wall and snoring was so loud it kept us both awake. Bathroom lights very bright.

Beautiful, relaxing, tranquil place to stay

We stayed for two nights. Our room was lovely, the hotel was beautiful with amazing views over the lake and the breakfast room was stunning. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It is so lovely to meet people that care about restoration and authenticity. The house was done to perfection. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back. Read more

No shower in the room. Small thing but there was plenty of room in the bathroom for a shower cabinet.

Absolutely perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Glenridding House Hotel. We fell in love with the surroundings and the fact that our mobile phone signal didn't work! We stayed for 2 nights and I have to say it wasn't long enough! The accommodation was faultless, the room was relaxing, spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The host was really lovely, she couldn't do enough to help and explain the facilities. She also recommended activities to do whilst we stayed. I would definitely recommend a visit. Read more

Idyllic break in the Lakes

Glenridding House B&B surpassed all expectations. The location could not have been more stunning, right on Ullswater and the house itself, recently completely refurbished was decorated and furnished tastefully and with no expense spared.

But what delighted us most was the warm welcome from our hosts Lynne and Steve and their friendliness and willingness to help for the duration of our stay. The experience was one of staying with friends rather than an anonymous bed and breakfast. Read more

My wife Lynne and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. A truly beautiful house, immaculately kept and lovingly restored in a mesmerising location on the lake.
