More than served purpose of room provision. Arrived 14.30,shown to suite which was most impressive. Then returned at midnight after family party. Had key to enter at any time. Most comfortable bed and no road noise despite having window open.
Breakfast arranged for 10.00 was excellent - great variety despite us being only residents.
Polite and attentive staff.
Plenty of safe on site parking. Read more

Parking provided and greeted by friendly staff before being shown to our suite- old wooden beams, in keeping furniture, low ceilings- all added to the quaint setting. The bathroom was huge, the bath is a must, slightly let down by the power of the shower. Drinks in the bar, good choice and reasonable prices in a friendly setting. breakfast - fast service, good choice but wouldn't have paid extra if not included as overpriced. Excellent value for overnight stay and would definitely stay again. Read more

Adequate for a short stay. Saved by the food and service.
Bathroom very cramped and large old cobweb over door.
Bedroom OK for short stay but have doubts that the bed was King=sized. Read more
May I apologise for the standard cleanliness of the bathroom during your 2 day stay with us. We always try to maintain a high standard at all times and although we missed the cobweb we hope that everything else in the bathroom and bedroom was clean. With regard to the size of the bathroom, they are small but we find adequate for most guests. Unfortunatley we did not build these and due to the age of the Blenheim each bathroom had to be fitted to the space available. Thank you for your comments

Wide choice on menu. Very comfortabe and clean room with good choice of tea, coffee in room. Very attentive staff. Down side was the route to the bedrooms cut through a room used for parties. It was quite small so the long table diagonally placed. It was being used for a family meal. It was embarrassing trying to squeeze past with a suitcase. Read more
Good evening Wendy thank you very much for taking the time to write a review on your stay at the Blenheim House. We are pleased that you enjoyed both the meal and overnight stay with us, we understand that some of our rooms are a bit awkward to get too and when we have tables using the 'snug' it can be difficult, unfortunately the Blenheim is a listed building and so we are not allowed to make any changes to the inside or out but thank you for your thoughts on looking at an alternative route.
The Blenheim House has eight en-suite bedrooms from the classic rooms to the two feature suites. The Samuel Sleigh Suite has a four poster with original oak beams, and the Thomas Gerard Suite has a king size sleigh bed and exposed wooden beams. All the rooms have flat screen Freeview televisions, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and bathroom toiletries. Our Derbyshire breakfast and wi-fi are also included in the nightly rate. We have a welcoming open fire and a mix of contemporary style décor and period features to the bar, restaurant and private dining room. To compliment this we offer superb menus in both the bar and a la carte restaurant with locally produced ingredients, excellently kept real ales from our local Burton brewers and a fine wine choice you will be welcomed in by friendly and informative staff. Private, Romantic and unique the Blenheim House provides an ideal backdrop and a wonderful atmosphere in which to celebrate with family and friends those occasions that will remain with you.
