A warm welcome with nothing too much trouble for travellers who were delayed en route

We were a party of 3 adults, including one OAP with mobility issues, plus 3 children. We were warmly welcomed, shown to our rooms and directed where to go. We had rung when delayed and assured that we would still be able to get dinner whatever the time of our arrival. Both rooms were excellent, with everything thought of, very comfortable with plenty of space. We were pleasantly surprised and really felt this was good value for money. Read more

Homely, friendly and comfortable accommodation

We had a delightful stay at Blackberries. We arrived early because of warnings of a storm and were welcomed and shown to our well-appointed, cosy and very modestly priced room. We had two comfortable nights sleep and left laden with pots of strawberry jam made by the owners. We will not hesitate to stay there again. Read more

Excellent stay - will book again

Do not be put off by some of the exterior photos on some websites. Inside the hotel is spotlessly clean and the owners are welcoming and friendly. The family room is spacious enough for 4 and everyone had their own space. The en suite bathroom was immaculately clean and does have a super shower over the bath (this is not mentioned in some descriptions) plenty of toiletries are provided and replenished daily. We will definitely stay again. Read more

More than we ever hoped for, friendly welcome in a beautiful location.

Very last minute due to amazing weather. Didn't think we'd get a room. Blown away by the stunning location and friendly people. Family of 4, one 3 year old and one 3 month old catered for wonderfully in the family room. Enough room for a travel cot and much needed bath. Great breakfast the following day. If you're ever in the area stay here, especially coming from Minehead, the drive is breathtakingly beautiful. Read more

Clean, comfortable and cosy, what a bargain!

We stayed at Blackberries on what was probably the busiest night of the year for Bampton; the night of the Bampton Fair. Blackberries was a refuge from all the hustle and bustle from the rest of the town despite the fact there was a guy playing a squeeze-box at the bar! Read more

Friendly B&B with good quality restaurant - everything we wanted from our stay

We spent three nights at Blackberries, combining a short holiday with a friend's wedding nearby. The owners were friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, the towels were plentiful (important when you have a 17 months old with you who likes to splash in the bath) and we had a very enjoyable stay. Our meal in the restaurant on the first night was very nice and they catered well for our little one. Breakfast was lovely every day, with a good range of hot and cold choices. Read more

Fabulous

Great location in the heart of Bampton, lovely rooms, spacious and high standard of cleanliness. Owners were lovely and very friendly. We decided to eat in the B+B restaurant and were not disappointed, the food was wonderful, service fantastic and we liked the separate bar area before going through to the restaurant - not many places seem to do this any more. We liked the local ales (again something some places don't do these days). Read more
