Thank you for the positive and helpful feedback, it is good to have a fresh pair of eyes to critically assess our facilities. We usually use the quieter months through the winter to work on refurb, redecoration, so your critique is particularly helpful at this time of year. We have had a busy summer so inevitably some places in the building look a little tired, as you say most of these are simple to fix. Thanks again for returning to visit us, hope we see you again, kind regards Ruth
Myself, my husband and our 8 year old daughter stayed here for 2 nights. We loved the location of the pub and found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. Nice stay however the staff forgot to mention that the pub would be closed on the Sunday therefore at 7.30pm we had to find a restaurant in Dartmouth without having made any booking. We needed somewhere local to Woodlands Theme Park & The George Inn fitted the bill as it was only 5 mins drive away. The room was a good size, which was a necessity as we have a 3 year old & 9 month old, we even had enough room to put up our travel cot! Thank you Alison, both for the lovely compliments and for the feedback on the breakfast. We have had an on going "sausage" debate for some time now and your comments are really useful. Thank you so much for the review, we do appreciate feedback, and knowing that guests are happy is a real boost for all the team here. Thank you for reviewing us, knowing that our guests are happy here is very reassuring for all our team. As far as check out times are concerned we are as flexible as possible given that the next guests arriving expect the room to be cleaned, refreshed and ready for them by 12 noon at the latest (sometimes folk need early check ins as well!), and it takes some trime to do the changeover properly. Thank you for posting a review, we always appreciate feedback and we do carefully consider any negative comments. Our only family room is really intended for a couple with small children, so perhaps this should have been more clearly expressed when you booked. We were staying here for 5 nights whilst our children & grandchildren were camping at "Woodlands". Thanks for recognising our aspirations so accurately! We try to constantly improve without losing that special "British Pub" traditional, not a gastro pub (food is excellent, varied and really good value), not a boutique hotel (rooms are sparklingly clean, and continually being improved, whilst remaining affordable) and our aim is to provide a relaxed and friendly service for a great guest experience. Thanks again for taking the time to post a review, it is appreciated.
