The Ship Inn has five en-suite rooms that we operate on a bed & breakfast basis, ranging from small doubles to a large family room. Our rooms are clean, comfortable and simple in their design. They are not luxuriously appointed nor are they huge in size, however they are comfortable, have good beds, big duvets and feather pillows.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of quality dishes using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. If you are planning to eat with us please book in advance as we are often fully booked well in advance & especially at weekends. The bar serves an interesting selection of real ales, beers and wines and the accommodation offers five en-suite rooms.
The Ship’s unique ambience and stylish but warm décor, offers ample opportunity to relax away from it all - whether you are simply dropping in for a drink or bite to eat, or staying for business or pleasure.
There is an extensive selection of beers, ciders & wines available, with tapped real ales on offer from three local breweries and a guest ale that changes weekly. Recent guest ales have included the likes of Butcombe, Exmoor Gold, Otter Ale, Bath Ales, Spitfire and Timothy Taylor.
We offer an interesting and varied wine list ranging from the more well known classic French wines, through to the ever popular New World wines.
The versatile menu at The Ship caters both for those who want a hearty sandwich and a pint, to those who want to enjoy a full three-course meal with a decent bottle of wine. Our dishes are a blend of the traditional and the not so familiar, with a specials board and fresh fish board that offer further daily choices. If you wish to eat with us please be sure to book in advance as the restaurant is very popular and often fully booked.
