Very relaxing stay in a lovely cosy place. Extremely good staff!

We were visiting relatives nearby who recommended The Lamb Inn -- great recommendation! We also went to see the Jack in the Green festival in Hastings -- great fun. Had a lovely time overall. Read more

Jim and his staff were extremely helpful, courteous and kind. Felt very relaxed and welcome when we were just sitting around in the bar/restaurant area. And a lovely fried breakfast when we wanted it!
Dislikes?
Only very minor things which don't let the place down -- could have done with a shelf or better surface in the bathroom for bottles/toiletries! Also the WiFi was out of action.

Excellent all round

Booked an overnight stay to attend a gig at same venue. Warm welcome on arrival and shown to my room, which overlooked the Old Town. Good sized room, recently decorated with en-suite shower and loo. Lots of soaps, shampoos, shower gels etc - and that rarity in hotels: Andrex (at a guess) toilet tissue!! Double room charged as single. Warm, comfortable, quiet. Read more

Exceptionally friendly, well presented and fascinating historical inn.

Amazing old inn with tastefully updated en-suites. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even giving us a tour of the underground crypt etc. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended. Read more

Warm, friendly stay in a convenient location.

I wanted to stay away from the usual big hotels near the seafront and The Lamb is ideally located on the same block as the relative I was visiting. It was an overnight stay so my main priority was a comfy bed at good value, with a decent breakfast. I had not stayed at The Lamb previously and did not know anyone else who had either, so I thought I'd take a chance and find out for myself, I would now recommend it to friends and family when they're making the same journey. comfortable and convenient

I traveled from Manchester and did not arrive until after 4 pm and had to be at a family party early evening so did not spend a lot of time in the Lamb, but I found everything spotless and the staff very helpful.
i slept well and enjoyed breakfast. After hearing I was leaving by train late morning they let me keep my room until 11am. Read more

Mine host was very welcoming, I enjoyed a very comfortable stay and will be using this hotel again.

When I arrived the bars were busy and I thought that I was going to have a noisy evening as I had work to do in the room, this was not the case the noise did not carry to the rooms. I was able to work in a confortable environment. the staff were very welcoming when I went down to dinner, I enjoyed a good pint of Harveys, the landlord obviously looks after his ales. I met the landlord at breakfast very friendly asked about my stay. Good tasty breakfast Read more

The hotel has hidden secrets that the landlord showed me at breakfast. The cold cellar was a cript, there are tunnels off to the church next door.
