CHEF PATRON - Matthew Beardshall Wild Garlic and Wilder are a labour of love for Chef Patron Matthew Beardshall, he brings to it his experience from working in fantastic restaurants in Barcelona, London, Sydney and Melbourne. After his initial training and a stint working in Barcelona, Matthew started his London career working with Simon Rogan. An opportunity arose to work at Gordon Ramsay’s flagship restaurant then he joined the team opening Petrus with Marcus Wareing. Returning closer to home Matthew spent time at the Bath Priory and opened Dukes Hotel with Michelin Starred Chef Martin Blunos. More recently, Matthew was Head Chef at Calcot Manor’s Conservatory restaurant, before opening Wild Garlic in November of 2007 and Wilder in 2016. Matthew is now happily settled in Nailsworth living with his wife, Hannah, who juggles being a restaurant owner and a full time mother to three gorgeous girls.

Accessibility

We have a ramp to gain access into the restaurant, but as it's an old building - the door width to the toilet is not wide enough for wheel chair access. The rooms have a separate entrance around the back of the building with two flights of stairs with a double hand rail to aid the climb. Once inside the building there are no further steps.
