Room was large with a king size bed and en suite facility. Room could have done with repainting but, overall it was of a good standard. I arrived to the hotel in a wheelchair, which I didn't know I would need before hand. Unfortunately the room I had been allocated was up two steps. Arrived slightly early and we were told sternly that check in was not until 2 pm. We understood this and went to wait in the seating area. I then asked for a paper cup and was told they aren't allowed to give them out! After waiting until 2 pm as requested we approached the desk to be told the room still wasn't ready Read more

Everything was good until I returned one evening with my 7 year old son, there was a man using foul and abusive language from behind reception, I pointed out I was with my son, he apologised then carried on shouting and swearing . Sleep disturbed by banging doors (inevitable consequence of fixed handles on the corridor side of bedroom doors, no cushioning strip on the door frame, and echoing corridors) and by the TV coming on unbidden at c.3am (presumed to be some alarm setting which had not been cancelled, although we could not fathom how to set/unset the alarm). Extremely puzzled by the sign which said that the water was not drinking water - yet the room had a kettle! Were we really supposed to bring our own water? Read more
