Fantastic location, great staff, gorgeous interior

Overnight for Tate exhibitions and theatre. Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, staff were helpful and breakfast was tasty. All good. Read more

Stepping off the street into such a haven of books and eclectic decor was a bit like entering Narnia
One small niggle. The murakami room toilet hates women. The seat and the bowl don't line up.
There was a function in the bar area but the mezzanine had space and no noise travelled up to our room

A little disappointing

The room lacked care and attention, many light bulbs out, phone not plugged in for use, no pole to shut roof window blinds. Read more

Space, view from room. Concept of home from home for members.
General maintenance in the room not up to the standard required for rates charged and for members who may stay frequently.

What a pity!

deeply disappointing by the fact that the high price of the room does absolutely not reflect on the quality of the room facilities and the service Read more

Very disappointing: booked three nights, left after one.

(1) I was overcharged when checking in and had to wait for nearly half an hour before being refunded.
(2) The heating in the room (number 6) didn't work at all. The unit just spit out an error code which hadn't been attended to.
(3) In the morning, the water in the shower was lukewarm at best.
(4) Instant coffee for breakfast on a Sunday morning?! You gotta be kidding...
(5) I checked out after one very disappointing night (with a pending cancellation) and didn't hear back until two days lat Read more

Great for a quick getaway

Stayed here for a birthday treat with my partner. Stayed in the Murakami Room which was incredibly light and big and is considered one of the smaller rooms. The room looks out over St Martin's Lane but it was very quiet. All staff were lovely and helpful. Had a great night's sleep! Read more

Very quiet - although I think this is because it was a Bank Holiday and the club was closed - and the bed was incredibly comfy!

Great location...... More attention to detail needed

Enjoyed our stay and the music in the evening was fun. Fab location. Nice room. Found breakfast disappointing. Continental breakfast was fine but for the level of club there should at least be a coffee pod system... The 'hot' water was all but tepid. Not enough cutlery, plates or milk. So breakfast needs to be more organized and there should be some gentle lounge music playing as there was zero atmosphere at breakfast, which was a shame. Complimentary newspapers should be available. Read more

Location. Rooms. Club music.
Disorganized and unatmospheric breakfast. Staff not very well trained.

Room good, dinner good but not exceptional, staff good, bar fun
Breakfast was a disaster. No one available. Simply some items put out on the bar. No milk no coffee very poor indeed and this spoils the overall rating
