Our newly renovated Stable Cottage is available to reserve for a minimum of two nights. The Cottage consists of an upstairs king room with en-suite bathroom, a downstairs lounge area with a double pull-out sofa bed, a self-contained kitchen area and a downstairs shower room. Perfect for families or groups of four. This room has everything you need for a comfortable stay including flat-screen TV's, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers, iron and ironing board, luxury bedding and high-quality bathrooms towels. Breakfast is not included with this self-contained cottage, however a freshly cooked and locally sourced breakfast is available upon request as a supplement and is served in our restaurant area. Clean and well behaved dogs are welcome in the stable cottage.

Enviably located in the heart of the Hoo Peninsular this traditional country Inn with 3 four star rated rooms and one self catering detached cottage has an above quality menu. The rural setting is conveniently located between two nature reserves and local wedding venues such as Cooling Castle Barn, The Knowle in Higham and The Little Hermitage in Gravesend Road, Higham. An open fire place invites you into the restaurant and a log burner is located in the bar offering a full A' la Carte menu using all home cooked local ingredients and Seafood Specialities. The Horseshoe and Castle has, over the years, received excellent reviews from Kent Life magazine as a fond favourite and exemplary articles from travel writers Tom Cheshyre, Carol Donaldson and Janet Street Porter taking a well-earned respite after one of many walks to be enjoyed including part of the Saxon Shore Way and R.S.P.B Nature Reserve. We have a ramp up to the front door of the pub with access wide enough for a wheel chair and our cottage has a step and a half to the room and hand rails to the front door.
