Great fun break with my 17 year old daughter. Visited the zoo, pleasure beach, sealife centre, wax works and the tower. Lots of things to see and do in Blackpool. Early nights for us in the lovely quiet hotel and enjoyed a great breakfast at 9/9.30 every morning. A short walk to town but usually got a tram at the end of the road. Great holiday and look forward to coming to stay again soon. Read more

Sorry you were disappointed with the sausages. They are actually home made from the local butchers. They are not catering sausages. The refreshments caddy is normally restocked every day. My friend and I have been visiting Blackpool for the last seven years and this is our sixth at Holmsdale. We have a superior twin room which is comfy and meets our needs pretty much spot on. The owners and staff have always been good to us and understand that a holiday means you want freedom to come and go as you like, and as we both get our own keys, that's what we do - sometimes till the small hours. We've never had a bad nights sleep, & careful when back late, we've not disturbed anyone else! Read more

Very nice hosts, even moved their car so we could park. Room was really nice, lovely to have two armchairs, most places only have one. Very easy to get to the sea front and the Trams, would definitely stay again. Read more

A couple of straight blokes visiting for 4 days in August. We had a twin ensuite room, which was quiet (unlike us) and breakies each morning was very nice & plenty of it. The Room had TV, Freeview, tea&coffee making kit and a window which could be opened to vent at night when humid. It all served its purpose and was just right for the type of stay we had. Blackpool might not seem glamorous but we had a whale of a time and will be going back again next year - as will a lot of people I suspect. Read more

We are pleased that they had a good time during there stay at the holmsdale. We do have some secure garage parking but it is limited. We point this out on our web site and our bookingb system. we point out that if this is important to you to phone and check availability. W try our best to get our guests on street parking if no secure parking is available. There are also cheap long stay car parks near by.
The welcome was friendly. We booked too late to get secure parking but there was space outside the hotel.

A friend and I stayed for 4 nights whilst attending an annual local event. We wanted somewhere to use as a base but not be in the centre of the activities (to avoid noise of party-goers. This place is about 10mins walk to the Tower and Winter Gardens and suited us fine. The Holmsdales frontage is well presented so (after drinking) we never had a problem distinguishing it from the dozens of other B&Bs in the area and the steps recently treated with resin gravel so no slippery slabs when its rainy Read more

Apologies but not shure why they were cold, its not something that is normally a problem and not brought to our attention. We also have extra heaters available if requested. Room nice & warm and adequately furnished etc, although the bed was too hard for our liking, so we didn't sleep well (although it may well be OK for others if thats what they like).
