Very good clean and friendly Hotel

The hotel is well placed between south & central pier and approx 5 mins steady walk to either St Chads or Manchester tram stops and about 3 mins from bus stops on the front or 3 mins from Lytham road so very easy access from all sides.

The hotel very nice the owners are very friendly and helpful, lots of space in the bar & games room to chill out and relax.

The bar is well stocked and well priced

value for money, friendly staff, basics supplied

The Lucena Hotel is good value for money, the room was very basic, but had everytihng needed for a 1 night stay. The building is very old and could do with updating, new windows, it could be cleaner. I enjoyed the breakfast. Read more

The Breakfast was good, the location of the hotel is good. there is not a lot of parking available but a 5 minute walk provided free parking by a park. all the staff were very friendly.
Dislikes?
the hotel was not the cleanist, and the windows needed updating hence there being lots of noise from the front, the seals were gone so although they were closed they were still noisey.

Lovely people, place needs attention.

We staid here over night for the illuminations, myself, husband and son (4) the rooms was basic. The whole place felt like it needed a lick of paint generally a bit of attention, and maybe new mattresses and bedding.
The breakfast was lovely although canned mushrooms were a let down. The staff were all friendly and keen to help which we liked.
Over all for one night it met our needs. Read more

Likes?
The fact that there is the tram stop at the end if the road was a bonus.
Dislikes?
The windows seem to have a gap which made colder. Taps in our room moved when turned on/ off. Bedding had rips in, mattress lumpy. Canned mushrooms on the breakfast?
All little things really.

Maybe better after refurb

The staff were very friendly, firstly greeted by a very dirty stair case that could of done with a hoover and wash if not ripped out. The room was clean but in much need of a refurb which they are now closing and planning to do. I would advise not to be on the first floor as I was kept awake till 12.30 by the sound of the pool table and people talking in there. The bar area was nice and reasonably priced with games offered for children. The breakfast was really nice we all enjoyed it. Read more

Very friendly but needs more attention to detail

I stayed two night with two of my grandchildren. The room was in the top floor (oh no - all those stairs) however the owners could not have been nicer or more polite. The staff at breakfast were also very helpful, friendly and polite. Handy for pleasure beach as well so the girls were delighted. Downside - old sweet wrappers behind toilet and just under edge of bed. Lots of mould in bathroom which could do with cleaning off however for what we paid for a two night stay good value. Read more

" No hen, Stag or same sex party`s ? "

On arrival , the greeting was warm and friendly. The room was on the top floor, up a very steep staircase, and with a 3 year old, was quite daunting. The room was adequate, with 4 single beds. It was clean and had plenty of tea and coffee. We found car parking at a nearby hotel for 24 hours. The problems started at 2am in the morning, when a party of females returned from their night out. They were "F" ing and blinding, slamming doors and going from room to room.It stopped @ 4am. Read more
