Excellent B&B

Stayed for 3 nights in one of the front facing rooms with an excellent view of the boating lake and the sea. The room was very clean and had a balcony to go out on if the weather had been nice enough. Read more

We stayed for 3 nights whilst down visiting family. Apart from the first evening being a bit noisy the rest of our stay went well and couldn't fault the cleanliness of the place. The breakfast was very good. Read more

I would have liked more choice at breakfast. The cooked breakfast was lovely but I would have preferred something lighter.

A Gem of a find

There were five of us who stayed overnight having had a day at Redcar races. We arrived earlier than planned but this was not a problem. We were able to leave our bags and obtain a key.
The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean, crisp fragrant bedding and pleasant decor. The facilities were shared but that wasn't a problem to us at all for one night.
Breakfast the following morning was to die for. Beautifully cooked and plenty of good quality wholesome, locally sourced food. Excellent! Read more

Jackie was a wonderful host and obviously takes pride in what she does. The hotel has some lovely original features and has a fabulous view. A very relaxed, lovely guest house. A little gem!
Dislikes?
En suite would have been nice but I am sure Jackie will be working towards that in the future. No big detriment when you consider everything else. It won't stop us going back in 2011!
