Very good value for money

We were looking for basic, clean and comfortable surroundings for a short break and this fitted the bill. We didn't want pampering; just a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. The room was serviced every day while we were at breakfast so it was never intrusive. The staff were friendly and approachable. Read more

Homely and friendly. There was an absence of "frilliness" that we approved of! It is unnecessary but some places insist on it - and,of course, you pay for it

Great Weekend

March 2011. Stayed for 2 nights at Tudor Lodge. Run by very friendly and helpful people. Rooms spotlessly clean and food breakfast plentiful and very good. Situated close to all amenities and within easy distance of places like Tyneside, Beamish and North York Moors Railway. The only small difficulty we found were stairs - we don't have any.
