Description

Pinewood faces south and enjoys the beautiful coastal scenery of Pembrokeshire National Park. We open from March to November and offer 4 comfortable, en-suite bedrooms, 2 doubles and a twin on the ground floor and a double on the first floor. We are just 350yds from the beach and directly alongside the fabulous Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath, now also part of the Welsh Coastal Footpath, between Amroth (1 mile) and Saundersfoot (1.5 miles). Wiseman’s Bridge Inn and shop are adjacent to the beach with its stretches of sand and fascinating rock pools. Tenby is just 5 miles away. Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon Water Park are all within a 15 minute drive. The National Trust's Colby Woodland Garden is a pleasant 30 minute walk away. For walkers visiting Pinewood the Pembrokeshire Coastal path is a natural attraction with its spectacular landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, picturesque towns and villages, bustling harbours, and wooded estuaries. Whether you are looking for gentle strolls or more demanding walks we can offer advice and guidance during your stay with us. We also have a selection of guides and our own laminated walks to the area. For cyclists, the Celtic Way National Cycle Route 4 runs directly past our drive and we have a selection of Pembrokeshire Greenway cycle maps for your use. Fishing, riding, water sports, golf are all nearby. If you like exploring historic attractions, the castles of Carew, Manorbier, Llawhaden, Pembroke and Haverforwest are all within a 30 minute drive, along with Lamphey Palace and Carew Tidal Mill. The magnificent cathedral at St Davids and its Bishops' Palace are about an hours drive. We offer a full home cooked breakfast plus fruit, cereal, orange juice, toast and preserves, tea and fresh coffee. We also offer scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, various omelettes or yogurt and croissants. Breakfast is served in our large, sunny conservatory with superb views over the garden and bay.
