A wardrobe would be a good addition and no balsamic goo with my bacon and egg would be nice too.

We were attending a funeral of an old friend and wanted to stay nearby. Read more

The restaurant seating was very dirty and stained. Breakfast on day one was perfect, but day two was horrid with everything soaked in a sickly balsamic goo. Weird food No wardrobe and cold showers

Boutique style, comfortable for a overnighter

Stayed for a wedding held locally. Rooms are decorated in a modern boutique style with nice fixtures and fittings including plenty of furniture, a massive bathroom and huge comfy bed.. Our room was at the front so needs double or triple glazing to cut out road noise and air con would better suite the room style. Read more

Lots of noise from the road, hot ( although it was very very sunny that day). Room had a little damage from damp in one corner- needs fixing.

Convenient for local wedding but too noisy through the night (main road)

The room itself was large and clean, but there was a large area of damp causing flaky paint and a musty smell. There was no wardrobe, just a clothes rail which leaned. Our room was on the front looking out on to a very busy road 24/7. The windows would not stay open, so we wedged coat hangers to get sufficient airflow. It was 26 degrees! The carpets leading to the first floor were in quite poor condition. The shower did not have enough power. We had dirty plates and glasses (replaced) Read more

Nice hotel excellent food

This is a very nice boutique hotel, we were staying following a family meal in the restaurant and I can honestly say that the evening mezze menu is excellent, the room was very nice and comfortable and furnished to a high standard with 2 comfy armchairs and a table and chairs something missing from a lot of hotels! Though I was surprised to see a large damp patch on one wall. Breakfast was nice though I would have liked to have seen a buffet for cereal and such to accompany the cooked breakfast. Read more

Description

The Warwick Arms is a large and welcoming 19th century inn on the main A37 at Clutton in Somerset. It was formerly a coaching inn positioned on the main route between Bristol town and its flourishing port and the important cathedral cities of Wells and Exeter. Mezze at the Warwick Arms brings modern Mediterranean-style dining to the A37. Gateway to the West without sacrifising the wonderful historic surroundings and traditional ambiance of an old coaching stop. This lovely old inn has been redecorated to a high standard with the downstairs bars being opened out into lovely light restaurant areas with the old fireplace restored to provide a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The old rooms upstairs have undergone an extensive restoration to their original use as guest rooms .The restoration of these 8 beautifully appointed rooms in the newly refurbished 1st floor accommodation has created a delightful Boutique style country inn hotel. There is an outdoor restaurant situated in the substantial lawned garden, which has recently been redesigned to include a more comfortable area to eat and drink. Mezze welcomes children and our smaller Mezze style dishes of food and our informal flexible dining arrangements encourages the kids to try out new foods as well as old favorites. There is a fenced play area in full view of the outside tables with plenty of space for children to run around and enjoy a little freedom. There are eight beautifully decorated en-suite rooms, which are brand new and fully equipped to ensure our guests have the most relaxing and pleasant stay. Check in is from 3pm - 10pm and Checkout is 11am.

Wheelchair access is via the garden entrance with a disabled toilet in this restaurant area.
