Widbrook Barns Information

Description

When you choose to stay in our converted B&B Barn Rooms, our Gypsy Wagon or Shepherds Huts you will have the benefit of privacy and freedom to come and go as you please. Beds and showers that you won't want to get out of, but a breakfast that you will want to get up for, remember "In England to eat well you should have breakfast three times a day" (Somerset Maugham) Our grounds allow space to kick a ball about or take some morning coffee in the sunshine or a beer or two on a warm summer evening, for those winter nights we have warm cozy rooms with a welcoming log fire in our dining room "The Tuck Barn" All rooms encapsulate the spirit of the sunny stories, green hedges and sylvan glades that Enid Blyton captivated her readers with. We just hope that our rooms captivate you with the same passion & escapism! The Barns are situated on the edge of the town about a 20 minute walk along the towpath from the rail station, 2mins by taxi or the 369 bus stops outside the main gate to the barns Bradford-on-Avon enjoys excellent road and rail connections into the cities of Bath, Bristol & Salisbury. The Kennet and Avon canal and 86 miles of Towpath are just a short stroll from the barns along with the Wiltshire cycle-way offer the opportunity to park your car up for your stay and enjoy some real relaxation. Bike hire can be arranged at our special guest rate , we are happy to help you with any special requests and you can rest assured of lashing of Dick & Jane hospitality .

It's. a family affair, well the words "owners in residence" still hold dear, Dick and Jane along with their children and indeed grandchildren have some 30years in hospitality and although they no longer own or run the famous Lock Inn below Bradford on Avon lock all the values they held are still very evident at Widbrook Barns.
