Charlie and Kate Dickinson welcome you to Sandhurst Farm Forge Stableblock "Self Catering Accommodation"
. Nestled behind the villages of Doddington and Newnham, Kent.
Here at Sandhurst Farm Forge we are fortunate to be surrounded by coppiced woodland and open arable fields, with a wonderful network of footpaths for you to explore our designated Area of Outstanding Beauty with its peace and tranquillity.
We make a good base from which to Explore Kent - its countryside, its coasts and its castles.
Our Local market Town of Faversham holds both Craft and Antique markets and supports a host of independent shops.
Sandhurst Farm Forge is a family business, hosting Self Catering Accommodation in our converted stable block.
We are a family of artists, Charlie at the Forge, daughter Isabel, a Ceramic Artist and son William who is a contemporary wood turner. I am a trained textile teacher who now (in my spare time) is revisiting spinning and weaving ,along with natural dyeing.
The Forge offers tuition in the form of taster sessions or a longer term series of lessons. Charlie is what we call a well seasoned blacksmith carrying 40 odd years of experience under his belt , both shoeing horses and producing beautiful quality hand forged work.
We have a gallery onsite showing a selection of our work when not out to other galleries.
If you wish to have a taster session at the Forge while you are staying with us then please do ring us to arrange this as an extra.
Taster sessions are charged at £50.00 for a 2 hour session (which usually runs over!)
For anyone wishing to visit the Gallery or to ask about a piece of work from Charlie at the Forge,we advise that during this time you should ring to make an appointment.Unless of course you are staying with us
