London is a must see destination for all international travellers and its mix of history and heritage, culture and creativity also mean it’s the place to go for UK visitors too.
Don’t try and do it justice with just a day trip though. You’ll need at least a couple of days to tick off the top sights – the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye. And don’t miss the many free London attractions such as the British Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the National Gallery and Tate Gallery.
As you’d expect of a world-class city, there are plenty of places to stay in London, and London hotels offer the very best in facilities and service. But a London break needn’t break the bank. There are plenty of cheap B&Bs in London if you are on a budget, or you just want to save your money to splash out on meal at a Michelin-starred restaurant or on West End theatre tickets.
Staying in a London B&B, guest house or small hotel means a more personal service too. Local knowledge of public transport, places to eat and some of London’s hidden gems will make your stay truly memorable.
