Our rooms are very comfortable, each with its own terrace, incorporated in a context of absolute tranquility, adjacent to a huge terrace overlooking the Murgia Materana Regional Park, you can look out over the Gravine di Matera that runs alongside the Sassi di Matera, where it flows into the deep canyon and receives the confluence of the Jesce stream from the left bank.

Al Cappuccino Vecchio Information

Description

The Al Cappuccino Vecchio accommodation facility was born as part of the "Nazareth" project launched in 2017 under the Italian Caritas CEI 8X1000 National Fund. It is the response that Caritas Diocesana wanted to give to the theme of community development in order to build and propose a new concept of community, one that is based on "gift" and "responsibility". Rethinking community life in these terms also means improving the quality of life itself to rediscover and regenerate a new possibility. It means supporting the transition from only answers to needs to that of building other possible worlds and stable processes over time. Al Cappuccino Vecchio is an accommodation facility that implements the path started in the non-profit business, that is, the creation of profit activities to support non-profit organizations. Non-profit is the whole wide range of services and projects that Caritas carries out: hospitality, job opportunities for unemployed young people, recovery of excellence, etc ... The time of vacation and beauty, for those who can afford it, is the opportunity to support those who live in a condition of social, economic and cultural fragility. Therefore, those who choose to take advantage of this accommodation will not only have the opportunity to stay in a place rich in history and charm but also to participate in developing and building another idea of community, the one that includes, that takes care of of the other, who cares about the generativity of relationships. The one that assimilates and gives substance to the binomial "Charity and Culture", in which the concept of culture is born directly from within the community and is forever its distinctive portrait. All this is an added value.
