Modern, spacious and well-located seafront apartment. Rooftop swimming pool with beautiful views. Free on-site parking. Heating and air-conditioning, fully-equipped kitchen, satellite television and free WiFi. 15 minutes from Faro Airport. There is a spa in the 5* hotel one minute away. Quiet location, only 5 minutes' walk from the historical town centre, food market and cafes, bars and great restaurants. Beautiful islands and amazing beaches just a few minutes away by ferry or boat. The apartment: Bedroom 1 has a double bed, en-suite bathroom and door to balcony outside. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and door to balcony outside; bathroom 2 is next door to the bedroom. Each bedroom has a large wardrobe with lots of storage space. In the spacious living room there is a large and very comfortable sofa-bed. The location: If you are looking for a relaxing and authentic experience, this is the place to go. A charming historical fishing town, Olhão is a popular place for couples and families to stay. On the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a unique protected habitat which stretches out over 60km of unspoiled coastline. Just a short walk from the apartment, there are regular ferries and boat trips to the local islands. The islands form part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and are well-known for their beautiful, pristine sandy beaches. The ferry service is regular and very cheap, and local companies offer some great boat trips and other options to explore the area. In addition to visiting the islands and local beaches and enjoying the sand, sea and sun, there are many ways to enjoy this unique corner of the Algarve; boat, cycling and walking ecotours (which can include watching dolphins!); snorkelling and diving; bird-watching - the Ria Formosa is very popular with bird-watchers, being home to unique local species and migratory birds; visiting the historical town centres of Olhão and Faro which is just 15 minutes by car; to name a few.

A charming and bustling historical fishing town, Olhao is a popular place for couples and families to stay. Olhao looks on to a protected coastal area, the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a unique habitat and wildlife sanctuary which stretches out over 60km of rugged, unspoiled coastline. Just a short walk from the apartment, there are regular ferries and boat trips to the local islands, such as Armona Island, which is a few minutes away. The islands form part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and are well-known for their uncrowded, pristine sandy beaches. The barrier island system of Ria Formosa, which protects a warm-water lagoon with its mosaic of salt marshes, islets and tidal mud flats. This unique environment harbours many resident and migratory birds and offers shelter to other threatened species of fish, plants and animals. Relax and enjoy the beaches, sun and sea, take a boat tour, go exploring on a kayak, go on a guided walk or bike ride, go on a bird-watching tour, do so some snorkelling or diving; there are many ways to enjoy this unique corner of the Algarve.

We are a Brazilian couple living in London with our two children. We love going to the Algarve to relax and to have lots of fun with the kids. We especially love the beaches, great weather, atmosphere, food, and of course the friendly locals, who are always very welcoming.
