Casa Estrella Information

Description

This fabulous house is perfectly situated, in a quiet street on the edge of the beautiful village of Alájar. This is as good a holiday location as you will ever find; pretty as a postcard, the jewel of the Sierra de Aracena. The icing on the cake is that the house enjoys the best of both worlds. Whilst the front opens directly to the village street outside, at the rear its gardens, terraces and pool look out to verdant nature with nothing - and nobody - to spoil the view. Just a stroll away from bars and restaurants, it is nevertheless entirely private, every bit as good as being in the middle of the countryside. And the house does its splendid location proud, too. A traditional village property which rambles delightfully up and down over four floors, it has been beautifully restored, refurbished and updated by its English owners. The result is wonderful, both inside and out! A real home (the owners spend about half the year here), they have completely re-styled it with exemplary good taste. It remains faithful to its traditional country-cottage style (splendid original features have been carefully restored and retained), but is now finished to the very highest standards.

Tresvillas.com

The English owners of Tresvillas, Tony and Debby Brown, started with their first house Estrella in 2004 and have now added newly-constructed Antonio and Carmen from 2016. Tony and Debby spend time in both the UK and Spain and Tresvillas is a project born out of their love of the Sierra de Aracena and Alajar in particular. Their taste for Spanish culture was begun in Mexico where they lived for 4 years and all of the houses include objects brought back from that country. Tresvillas gives extended family groups and friends the opportunity to spend time together while having a measure of independence by having their own house. Or single family groups can just take one of the houses since they are also set up to be completely independent of each other.

Casa Estrella has been welcoming guests since July 2007

Directions to the houses from Seville Airport– approximate driving time 1 hour 20 mins.Follow the signs to Sevilla when leaving the airport and you will join a three lane motorway. Stay on this briefly( 1 kilometre) and take the first exit to Merida and keeping to the right you join a ring road that takes you straight on through a series of roundabouts and traffic lights for about 10 kilometres until you reach the Estadio Olympico on your left. At the next roundabout take the third exit and join the SE30 a three lane motorway which you stay on for about 1 kilometre until taking the first exit to Merida – E803/A66 on your right. You stay on the E803/A66 for approximately 40 kilometres. Look out for a sign on the right saying Aracena /Portugal N433. Off the motorway turn left at the roundabout and then filter right towards Aracena. You stay on this road for about 50 kilometres passing through Arroyo de la Plata, Valdeflores, Higuera de la Sierra.
When you reach the first roundabout at Aracena ignore the left turn to Alajar and stay on the N 433 going around Aracena straight on through two roundabouts. After Los Marines on the right, start to look out for a left hand turn which is signposted to La Pena and Fuenteheridos, it’s just after a camping sign. Take this left turn until reaching a roundabout. Take the third exit to La Pena and Alajar. Stay on this road until cresting the hill(if you stop to enjoy the views you will see the village of Alajar below you) drive downhill passing by La Pena until you reach a T junction.
