The Bull Pen Information


The Bull Pen is a modern barn conversion set in the grounds of a quiet arable family farm. Great rural accommodation for friends and families to enjoy time together in a comfortable, spacious and well equipped holiday home. Its location makes a great base to discover the delightful historical city of Cambridge, explore the Cambridgeshire countryside and an opportunity to enjoy some of the excellent local restaurants. Living area is open plan, which looks out across a meadow through floor-to-ceiling windows, is light and spacious with a vaulted ceiling and steel beams: The kitchen/dinning area is very well equipped, including a dishwasher, with lots of space for preparing and enjoying meals. The lounge area has comfortable seating for 6, Smart TV (+Netflix) and a bluetooth sound system. For warm days there are French Doors leading to a patio and garden to enjoy the meadow, trees, big sky and the tranquility of countryside. For cooler days, The Bull Pen is warm and cosy with underfloor heating, LED flame effect electric fire and large triple glazed windows so you can still enjoy the view. Bedroom 1 - first floor: kingsize bed with en-suite bathroom (accessed by spiral staircase) Bedroom 2 - ground floor: superking double bed/or twin 3ft single beds (adjustable electric) with en-suite wetroom. French Doors to patio area (no steps and wide doors), vaulted ceiling with fan. Bedroom 3 - ground floor: kingsize bed /or twin 2'6" single beds with TV & private shower room/toilet. Farm Room - This is a second small kitchen/laundry/general extra 'overflow' room, with table/chairs, 2nd fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer. This room can also be converted into a 4th bedroom (suitable for 1 adult or child) with a single folding bed or a cot. Share shower room with bedroom 3. Wifi throughout (fibre broadband 70Mb/s) Easy parking - 2 parking bays with overflow parking Garden swing seat, bistro table and 6 chairs, garden snug with corner sofa & BBQ

Suitable for a guest with low mobility, that use either a frame or wheelchair to assist mobility but can stand independently. Mobility level 1 & 2 friendly and is suitable for a guest needing easy accessibility: All ground floor doors are wide with low thresholds, and no steps on the ground floor. Bedroom 2 is next to living area and has and en-suite wet room, has a DOC M toilet, open shower with rail (shower stool available) and wall mounted basin. Beds can be either super-king or twin and are electric adjustable. The ground floor of the building and parking are all on one level so access from the car to indoors is easy to central open plan living/dinning/kitchen area + bedroom 2 (no disabled access bedroom 1 on the 1st floor) Some parts of the patio areas have low steps.

    If you are approaching from the A428, turn off at - -Cambourne (coming from west) sign posted Bourn -or Hardwick (coming from east) sign posted Caldecote -onto StNeots Rd and follow signs for Bourn -as you first come into the village, along The Broadway, you'll pass a phone box/postbox on the left, also you'll go past a lane (The Drift) on the left -after the lane there is a left hand bend and we are immediately after the bend on the right - Chapman's Farm
