Woodfield House Information


Woodfield Farm House self-catering apartment is situated on Madingley Road which is on the outskirts of the villages of Coton and Madingley. We provide self-catering accommodation, just three miles from the University City of Cambridge. The newly refurbished apartment is joined to the main farm house and is set among extensive mature gardens which lead to a meadow where sheep graze and beyond that agricultural family farmed fields. Our accommodation is situated on the ground floor for ease of access, even for those with limited mobility. Attached to our modern farm house, Woodfield Farm House guests have complete independence with their own private enclosed garden with a seating area and a complimentary private parking space directly next to your apartment. The front door leads to an open plan entrance with a place to hang your coat. This leads into a modern kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge-freezer. The fully equipped kitchen is furnished with glassware, bone china plates and a range of kitchen utensils. A continental breakfast of cereals, croissants, bread, butter, milk, orange juice, tea and coffee will be provided. The lounge has a large sofa, chair, coffee table and reading lights and is equipped with a Smart TV loaded with recent movies from Amazon Prime. Alternatively, bring along your own discs to play on the DVD and Blu Ray player. Complimentary high-speed internet (Wi-Fi) is available throughout. The apartment is centrally heated with radiators. The bedroom has a super king size bed (or twin beds if you prefer), double wardrobe, bedside drawers and a dressing table. Rooms are fully serviced on the 3rd day of your stay.

Ground floor. Parking is next to the apartment with a paved pathway to the front door. The apartment is not registered as disabled friendly, but low mobilty walkers will find the low shower tray and ground floor access helpful. No stairs.

  • Road from M11 (1.0 miles)
    From the South (M11) Leave the M11 at Junction 13, signed Bedford and Cambridge (A428/A1303). Turn left onto the A1303/Madingley Road. Travel approximately 1 mile up the road and continue past the American Cemetery situated on the right. Woodfield Farm House is the next entrance on the left.
  • Road from Cambridge (1.8 miles)
    From Cambridge From the Northampton Street/Queen’s Road/Madingley Road roundabout, take the Madingley Road (A1303) exit and travel west out of Cambridge. Continue past the American War Cemetery on the right. Woodfield Farm House is the next entrance on the left.
  • Road from North East (3.0 miles)
    From the North, East and West (A14 and M11) Follow the signs for M11 London. Exit the motorway at Junction 12 to make a U turn (There is no exit at Junction 13 from the North). At the roundabout take the 4th exit. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit back onto the M11. Then follow instructions as above from the South, taking
  • Train from Cambridge train station (5.0 miles)
    By Train The nearest rail station is Cambridge, which is located on Station Road. There are direct trains from London (King’s Cross Station and Liverpool Street Station) and London Stansted Airport. A full timetable information is available from the National Rail website.
  • Coach from By coach (3.0 miles)
    By coach Passengers travelling by coach or bus should alight at Parkside or Drummer Street bus station in central Cambridge. National Express runs direct services to Cambridge from London (every 20 minutes), East Anglia, Oxford, all London airports and the north-west of England.
