Description

Located in the peninsula town of Portrush, on the picturesque North Antrim coast of Northern Ireland, this accommodation provides the perfect location from which to explore several of the Provinces main tourist attractions, including the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Old Bushmills Distillery and ‘Game of Thrones’ filming locations at Ballintoy Harbour, Portstewart Strand and ‘The Dark Hedges’. Situated in the centre of town this sympathetically restored four storey Victorian Townhouse built in 1857 retains several original features, provides views of the North Atlantic ocean from all front facing rooms and is decorated in a bright airy manner with original local artwork and photography. The communal areas provide a fully equipped self-catering kitchen; dining areas with baby high chairs; laundry/drying room; lounge with log burning stove, TV, books and games. Free WI-FI is available throughout and all bed linens and towels are provided. Baby travel cots and extra trundle beds are available if required. There is an outside courtyard with BBQ facilities, together with safe storage for bikes / sporting equipment and free on street public parking. Within easy walking distance are two amazing blue flag beaches ideal for swimming, body boarding, surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking; viewing point at Ramore Head; the bustling harbor area; yacht club; top class restaurants; eateries; entertainments including ‘Barrys’ popular family amusement park; all the towns amenities; bus, rail and taxi stations. Four miles away is the large town of Coleraine, from where all areas of Northern Ireland may be accessed via public transport and large supermarkets and high street stores are located. This accommodation is deal for the single travellers through to large groups and may be blocked booked for sole use.

Directions

  • Road from South & East (60.0 miles)
    From Belfast take M2 and leave motorway at junction 1 (A26), at roundabout take 3rd exit (Ballymena / Coleraine). Continue north on M2 merging onto A26, continue to follow signs for Coleraine until Ballymoney. Here, take 3rd exit at Ballybogey Road roundabout onto B62 toward Portrush. At T-junction take left. This journey takes approximately 1 hour.
  • Road from North & West (45.0 miles)
    From Derry/Londonderry take A2 toward Coleraine. On entering Coleraine at Greenmount roundabout take 3rd exit, at next roundabout take 2nd exit over bridge to Lodge Road roundabout and take 2nd exit toward Portrush, filtering into the right lane and following signs to Portrush through 2 more roundabouts. At the 3rd roundabout take 3rd exit toward Portrush. This journey takes approximately 50 minutes.
  • Train from Belfast (60.0 miles)
    From Belfast Central or Victoria stations, take the 2 hour train journey to Coleraine and transfer to the Portrush train, this journey takes approximately 15 minutes. In Portrush, leave the train station, turn left toward traffic lights, cross over two roads, walk left toward Main Street, past shops, churches and The Whitehouse department store until you see Troggs Surf shop. Here, turn right onto Bath Street where Portrush Townhouse, a grey painted building is situated on the right.
  • Train from Derry/Londonderry (45.0 miles)
    From Derry/Londonderry station, take the 1 hour train journey to Coleraine and transfer to the Portrush train, this journey takes approximately 15 minutes. In Portrush, leave the train station, turn left toward traffic lights, cross over two roads, walk left toward Main Street, past shops, churches and The Whitehouse department store until you see Troggs Surf shop. Here, turn right onto Bath Street where Portrush Townhouse, a grey painted building is situated on the right.
  • Air from Belfast International Airport (60.0 miles)
    From the airport, follow signs for Antrim. In Antrim, follow signs for the A26, continue to follow signs for Coleraine until Ballymoney. Here, take 3rd exit at Ballybogey Road roundabout onto B62 toward Portrush. At T-junction take left. This journey takes approximately 1 hour.
