You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome from your hosts Bob, Cynthia and Elliott Emery. Our privately owned 16th century Inn is situated in 9 acres of its own land set in idyllic surroundings on the banks of the River Derwent. Our tastefully decorated and intimate restaurant offers the ideal enviroment in which to dine and relax in an informal atmosphere. Relax and take a meal in our cosy bar complete with real log fires. We serve hand pulled ales and a large range of fine wines from around the world. Our menu consists of dishes produced fresh by our head chef and his dedicated team. The menu is a mix of modern European and traditional food using only the finest quality produce brought together in an eclectic style. With over forty main dishes to choose from there is sure to be something to suit everyones taste. Complimented by a wide range of excellent wines from around the world and finally a night cap with over thirty whiskies, brandies and liquors to choose from. Our extensive menu ranges from good old home-made pies to fine international cuisine using only the finest quality produce. The magnificent countryside which surrounds the Inn is a natural habitat for many species of wildlife, all of which makes an ideal environment in which to relax. Close by are the Stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Castleton, with its many caves and caverns and the world famous Blue John Mine is only a short distance away. Amongst many other places of interest in the locality is the plague village of Eyam and the market town of Bakewell, famous for its Bakewell Puddings.
