Amberley Bed and Breakfast Information

Description

Recently lovingly restored, Amberley offers luxury guest accommodation in a warm and welcoming traditional thatched farmhouse. With the emphasis on comfort our aim is to make your stay memorable, from the king sized beds and soft cotton bed linen to delicious home made breads and preserves. Enjoying a beautifully quiet and secluded countryside location it retains all the convenience of being close to the small historic town of Chudleigh with its quaint shops and tearoom, within easy reach of the vibrant university city of Exeter with its great shops, restaurants and historic buildings, the Victorian elegance of Torquay, the pretty villages and rugged tors of Dartmoor and the lovely Devon coast. Nestled in woodland and within its own two acre gardens Amberley has two luxury double bedrooms and one family/twin room (sleeping up to 6) along with delightful guest lounge with its seasonal wood fire, quiet reading room and garden room, all with magnificent views of Dartmoor or the neighbouring woods. The delicious Amberley Breakfast, prepared by the Cordon Bleu trained owner provides interesting and tempting choices from great quality Devon produce and home-made breads, preserves, fruits and honey from the garden, all with the backdrop of stunning views of Dartmoor from the tranquil setting of the elegant dining room. Nice little extras are fresh ground coffee, fresh milk and home baked biscuits on your room tray refreshed daily. Whether your stay is just for one night, perhaps en route to Cornwall, a long weekend or as a base for a week’s holiday Amberley is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the delights of Devon and the South West and whether your interests are walking, cycling, horse riding or racing, taking in the atmosphere of pretty Devon villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, literature and food festivals or enjoying the coast Amberley makes the perfect base from which to explore.
