Amberley Cottage Information

Description

Recently lovingly restored and totally refurbished by the owners, Amberley Cottage offers quality guest accommodation in a traditional thatched farmhouse, complete with original oak beams, inglenook fireplace. With the emphasis on comfort our aim is to make your stay memorable, from the super king sized bed, soft cotton bed linen, feather pillows and powered showers to the well equipped kitchen. Enjoying a beautifully quiet and secluded countryside location it retains all the convenience of being close to the small historic town of Chudleigh with its quaint shops and tearoom, within easy reach of the vibrant university city of Exeter with its great shops, restaurants and historic buildings, the Victorian elegance of Torquay, the pretty villages and rugged tors of Dartmoor and the lovely Devon coast. Nestled in woodland and with its own terrace, garden area and play field Amberley Cottage has a spacious lounge/ dining area, separate kitchen, two large double bedrooms, one with bunks and two bathrooms, making it ideal for up to 6 people. Whether your stay is for a long weekend (minimum of 3 nights) or as a base for a week’s holiday Amberley Cottage is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the delights of Devon and the South West and whether your interests are walking, cycling, horse riding or racing, taking in the atmosphere of pretty Devon villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, literature and food festivals or enjoying the coast Amberley Cottage makes the perfect base from which to explore.

Louise and Martin have been offering highly rated Bed and Breakfast accommodation from the adjacent house for the past 5 years and have now completed their first year of offering Amberley Cottage on a self catering basis instead.
