Description

Happy Days Chalet and Devonly Days Chalet. Rent is for one entire 4-person, 2 bedroom holiday home, well equipped with room heaters, its own modern kitchen,oven, living /dining room and bathroom and private entrance from the Park. Parking is on site, free, no reservation required. Our chalets are 100 yds apart, the same size, South facing, identical and to the same high standard, same facilities. Each chalet has 1 double bedroom, carpeted, including double bed for 2 people and also one twin bedroom, carpeted, with a modern triple bunkbed comprising a double bed with a single bed on top. Clean bed linen, bath mat and towels are provided at the start of each rental. The chalet is serviced between rentals only. The Kitchens are well equipped, with kettle, toaster, cutlery and utensils, crockery, pans, glasses, ceramic hob, oven and microwave. The bathrooms contain a modern shower cubicle with glass door, wash-hand basin and toilet. There is a large utility cupboard with shelves, housing washing machine and tumble dryer. The homely Lounge diners include luxurious white leather sofas and a dining table with 4 chairs. There is a foldable outside table with foldable seats in the utility cupboard- for Park use only. Electricity is via a meter which takes pound coins, set at around cost price. Please remember to bring coins with you . The park is discretely lit, however a small torch or mobile light is advisable for safer access, and for reading the key locker combination if you arrive after dark. Upon arrival, chalet keys are accessed via a small key locker box next to the front door. The locker combination code will be texted or e-mailed to you close to the arrival date, once funds are secured.

Description

Dartmouth Happy Days and Devonly Days Chalet sit in a row of self-catering holiday rentals at Norton Park, Dartmouth,1.5 miles from town centre in South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Free Parking- no need to reserve. Pound coin electricity meter. No wifi but good 4G internet reception.Dartmoor National Park close by. Strictly no dogs. The refurbished 2 bedroom 4 person self-catering holiday rentals are completely self-contained, each with with private entrance, modern kitcen, bathroom, wc, well equipped with comfy beds,heaters, freeview TV, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave, stovetop, oven, all tastefully furnished to make you feel at home. Each with double bed in one bedroom and a triple bunk-bed comprising a double bed with a single bed on top, in the other. Holiday RentaI is for the entire chalet, not 'per room'. The park is quiet, as former park facilities are long gone. The chalets are identical, 20 metres apart, South facing, furnished in similar style with the same facilities. We rigorously follow government cleaning and sanitising guidelines, using a well-established local professional cleaning firm. The surrounding rural parkland is free for you to enjoy, with fine views across the River Dart. The main road is not suitable for pedestrians so a car is advisable, but buses stop at the Park entrance. If you love rambling, rocky coves, swimming, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, crabbing, sandy beaches, ancient towns, or just want to relax in the glorious South Devon countryside, this place is for you. If you also love ‘apres-sea’ with fine seafood, good restaurants, live music and fine old inns, look no further than the Dartmouth area. Explore, have fun and experience our lovely Devonly beds. Happy Days Chalet and Devonly Days Chalet are run by myself, Richard with much help from my partner, Sheena. I have an engineering and design background and Sheena's is in teaching, so together we have combined our creative talents into transforming our chalets into a home from home that we can be proud of. We are also proud to have been Shortlisted as Finalists and invited to the prestigious 2019 Eviivo Self-Catering Awards ceremony in London – considered to be the ‘Oscars of the self-catering industry’. We want to share all the great things that South Devon has got to offer- beautiful scenery, historic buildings, live music and friendly people, so that when you return home you will do so with a heart that will be forever warmed by your wonderful Devonly experiences. The vibrant ancient town of Totnes is a bus or boat ride away, or you could incorporate a steam train and ferry back to Dartmouth. The 630-mile long South West Coast path and ruined fishing village of Hallsands, the Dart Music Festival and Dartmouth Regatta, the wondrous clifftop views from East Prawle and the Pig’s Nose pub all await the intrepid spirit in you.
