If you need self catering accommodation for a large group or family, get in touch with Broadshade Holiday Apartments & Winter Lets in South Devon. We have a fully furnished and equipped house for up to 8 people. Flowerpots House is located on the grounds of Broadshade Holiday apartments and just a stones throw from Paignton beach, harbour and town. It includes a large spacious four bedroom house with the benefit of 4 separate bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and a separate toilet. Bedroom 2 kingsize bed and en-suite with shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail. Bedroom 3 zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request). Bedroom 4 has twin beds. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, toilet and heated towel rail. The ground floor has a living room with Freeview Smart TV. The kitchen/dining room has an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with washer/dryer. The house is equipped with Economy 7 central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi is included. There is an enclosed back garden with patio, seating area and garden furniture. Parking: private parking for cars with additional on-road parking available. This is a no smoking property.

Broadshade Holiday Apartments Information


The distinguished detached property was built in 1902 and is set in its own spacious grounds which include a large secure guest garden with a range of children’s play equipment and a large off street private car park. The child and pet friendly building comprises thirteen fully furnished and equipped self-catering apartments ranging in size from studios to two bedrooms and sleeping from one to seven guests. There is considerable flexibility in the accommodation to enable us to meet most requirements as well as the important little extras such as onsite laundry facilities, free upgraded WiFi service, book library, board games and beach equipment for guests use. Broadshade is located in the quiet and popular Roundham residential area away from high traffic routes but still within just five minutes walk of the beaches, town centre and harbour. There is also good access to the South Devon Expressway (A380) and local bus and rail stations within walking distance which make exploring the English Riviera, Dartmoor and South Devon very easy.

We (Leena & Tobias) took over the business in 2022 having moved to Devon from Tenerife after careers in various fields. We have continued to build on a very successful business and have embarked on a modernization programme to upgrade and refurbish the apartments whilst retaining the essential character of the building. We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed, comfortable and homely environment and giving our guests good prompt friendly customer service. We are always happy to provide information and tips on the many wonderful local attractions, activities and places to eat in the area and beyond.

  • Road from M5 Southbound (20.0 miles)

    At the end of the M5 Motorway southbound bear left on to the A380 to Torquay for 10 miles and then keep right to continue on the South Devon Expressway for 4.5 miles. At the Edginswell Junction traffic lights turn right on to Hamelin Way (A380) to Paignton for 3 miles. At the second roundabout (Preston Sands) turn left on to Preston Down Road and follow the signs to the seafront for 2 miles. Bear right on to Esplanade Road and follow the road along the front with the sea to your left passing the Pier and Vue Cinema on the left for 0.5 miles. At the small roundabout at the end of the road turn right in to Sands Road and then take the second turning on the left in to St Andrews Road. Broadshade is the fifth property on the left hand side of the road.
