Abingdon House Information

Description

Abingdon House is a warm, homely boutique style accommodation. We are a Victorian Villa with beautifully refurbished rooms, free Wi-Fi, and highly sought-after free parking. It is a short level stroll to the Seafront, Riviera Centre, Restaurants, Railway Stations, and the many attractions Torquay has to offer. The English Riviera has a microclimate where the sun just loves to shine. Our rooms have luxury bedding, towels, toiletries, hair dryer, USB port, magnifying mirror, sensor lights, luggage stand and fresh milk every day in a mini fridge, not to mention a little treat to tickle your tastebuds*! Accessibility

We have one double bedroom on the ground floor. There is a hand rail by the toilet in the bathroom adjoining this room. There are no steps into the property. Two guest rooms are accessible via a stair case with a hand rail on one side, and a further two guest rooms are accessed via an additional 5 steps with a hand rail on one side. The dining room is on the ground floor with no steps. There is one step down into the bar area. If you have any concerns over the accessibility to our rooms, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements. Abingdon House does not have a lift.

Directions

  • Road from London (193.0 miles)

    Coming by car: TQ2 5LF : 104 Avenue Road : follow the A380 from Newton Abbot following signs to Torquay. You will take a slip Road to Torquay, you will see "English Riviera" written on sloping grass using flowers.This is Riviera Way. Stay on this Road, you will pass a number of large stores. When you have passed Asda on your left, you will go through 2 sets of traffic lights. On your right you will see Torre Train Station and Halfords. Keep in the Right hand lane to branch right onto Avenue Road. We are approximately 300m on the right. You will see Esso Petrol Station on the left and we are opposite. Turn right into Sanford Road and into our car park.


    Coming by train: We are situated between Torre Train station and Torquay Train station.  Both of which are located just off Avenue Road.  From Torre Train station turn right out of the station onto Avenue Road,  we are 300m on the right.  From Torquay Train Station turn left out of station, walk to the end of Rathmore Road which leads onto Falkland Road.  At the junction turn left onto Avenue Road we are 300m on the left, opposite the Esso Petrol Station.
