Burrator Inn Information

Description

We love our pub but we also love the Great British Outdoors so we want to make sure you can too. This means that we have thought about those little extras that will help during your stay such as a secure cycle lock up and a drying room for your wet gear as unfortunately we can't guarantee the weather! There is plenty to do locally such as Buckland Abbey & The Garden House, cycle trails, pony treks and hiking. In the lounge bar & dining area guests will find characterful log fires & decor of a real country pub. Each room boasts stylish fittings & contemporary en-suite bathrooms. Rooms feature a TV, tea/coffee making facilities & elegant fabrics. We have two dog-friendly rooms (for a small additional charge) but please call prior to booking to check availability. Dogs are also welcomed in the bar, snug and external dining areas. Assistance dogs are welcomed throughout the building. The Inn offers fantastic dining options as it has excellent relationships with its food suppliers making sure only the freshest, top quality ingredients in our dishes.

Following a sympathetic renovation, the Inn is warmly elegant and a great place to create new, precious memories. Being only a stroll away from Burrator Reservoir, the jewel of Dartmoor, creating unique days out for families, nature enthusiasts, historians & Dartmoor lovers alike. The Inn is an outdoor activity pub set in The National Park. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed outdoor experience or something more active this is the place to be. From hiring bikes, country walks & so many more outdoor activities. If fishing is your thing, then head down to Burrator Reservoir where you can fish off the bank or in a boat. Fishing permits available from Yelverton Petrol Station. By staying at the Burrator Inn, you’re in the perfect place for exploring. Along with its stunning scenery, Dartmoor is known for its fresh air and is the ideal place for activity adventures.

Directions

A car is recommended when staying at the property
  • Road from A38 @ Plymouth (9.0 miles)

There are many scenic routes to visit us which allow you to fully indulge in the magnificence  of the stunning Dartmoor scenery. However, these roads can be narrow and get blocked easily with anything from lorries to wildlife so be warned... your journey could take a little longer than you expect!

For those of you seeking a more conventional route, our recommendation is to take the A386 (signposted for Tavistock) from either the A38 (@Plymouth) or the A30 (@Okehampton) until you reach the roundabout at Yelverton. At this point pick up the route to Princetown and you will find us just over a mile away on the right hand side.

    Have a safe journey.
