The Knowe B&B is nestled amongst stunning rural countryside at the edge of The Galloway Forest Park in Carsphairn, and is rated 'Four Star Gold' by Visit Scotland. Situated on the A713 Galloway Tourist Route, half way between Castle Douglas and Ayr, this delightful Late Victorian former Manse House is steeped in history and is ideally located for a short overnight stay or a longer relaxing getaway. Directions

  • Road from Castle Douglas (24.0 miles)
    Follow the A713 Galloway Tourist Route, signposted Ayr for 24 miles. The Knowe Bed and Breakfast is situated on the right hand side of the road at the far end of Carsphairn Village.
  • Road from Ayr (25.0 miles)
    Follow the A713 Galloway Tourist Route, signposted Castle Douglas for 25 miles. The Knowe Bed and Breakfast is situated on the left hand side of the road as you enter Carsphairn Village.
  • Road from M6 Motorway from the South (66.0 miles)
    Leave the Motorway at Junction 22, the A75 signposted South West Scotland, Dumfries, Stranraer. Go through 8 roundabouts. Then turn right on to the A713 Galloway Tourist Route and continue for 24 miles until you reach Carsphairn Village. The Knowe Bed and Breakfast is situated on the right hand side of the road at the far end of the village.
  • Road from M77 Glasgow (59.0 miles)
    Leave Glasgow on M77 signposted Kilmarnock, Prestwick Airport. Continue on to the A77 and go through 4 roundabouts. At the fifth roundabout take the first exit on to the A713 signposted Castle Douglas and continue for 25 miles. When you reach Carsphairn Village the Knowe Bed and Breakfast is situated on the left hand side of the road.
