Fell View Cottage Information

Description

A stunning cottage in the heart of the Durham Dale's, with views over Cockfield fell to die for, the cottage is minutes from the amazing Raby Castle, Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland a great base to explore all that Teesdale, County Durham and the Durham Dale's has to offer. A great location to visit the world famous Hamsterley forest, fantastic for walking or cyclists or head into Teesdale for a day walking the Teesdale way, visiting our local village pubs and take a trip up to High force to revel in the wonder of one of the most impressive waterfalls in England. The River Tees has been plunging into this gorge for thousands of years but the rocks it reveals are far more ancient – with origins dating back over 300 million years! A lovely light, spacious kitchen and living room with downstairs bathroom, upstairs has a large king-size bedroom and twin room with 2 single bunk beds. The cottage has parking for one small car to the rear and there is plenty of parking nearby for others, you will have your own garden to the front of the property with views over Cockfield fell t sit and enjoy after a day exploring the surrounding areas. The whole cottage has a lovely light feel, a great place to relax after a day out. Cockfield is a village on the edge of Teesdale, County Durham, England. It is situated 8 miles to the south-west of Bishop Auckland, 15 miles north-west of Darlington and 40 miles south-west of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Remains found on Cockfield Fell suggest there was a settlement in the area during the Iron Age. There are village pubs all within walking distance, a coop shop with essentials shopping items and a village doctor too.
