Description

Self-contained Holiday Apartment sleeps four, one double bedroom, two single beds with small en-suite shower plus family shower room, fully equipped kitchen with dining table and living area, private patio and garden, barbecue, off street parking, iron and ironing board, laundry service on request, hairdryer, electric car charging point, flat screen TV and free WIFI. Welcome pack on arrival. We offer a choice of Full English or Vegetarian breakfast packs on request at an extra charge £4.50 adults and £2.50 children, you could also tailor your visit with a Celebration Pack depending on the Occasion, Champagne, Wine, Flowers, Chocolates and Fruit. (these would need to be pre-ordered and are charged individually) We are situated 1 minute walk from bus routes to Durham, with access to Universities, Chester Le Street Cricket ground and Newcastle, Durham Park and Ride is approximately 5 minutes by car, Durham Light Infantry Museum 10 minutes, Beamish Museum is 20 minutes including Beamish Go Wild for the adventurer in you, Metro Center 25 minutes and North East Coast 30 minutes by car. Durham offers many Golf courses and we are within 35 minutes to De-Vere Slaley Hall Golf course. Close to Lanchester Valley Railway Walk and Cycle Route, Adventure Valley, Digger Land are both minutes drive away, Hall Hill Farm is great for the kids and young at heart. Local Pubs serving Real Ales one serving food are only minutes walk from the door. If you prefer to visit Durham City there is the Gala Theater, Historic Cathedral and beautiful river walks, even a leisurely boat trip on the river all within minutes by car or on the bus route outside the door. Flexible arrival and departure times are also available.

    Take A1 south until jnc 63 Chester Le St A167 Follow the A167 until roundabout with B6312 (turn right) Red Lion PH. Follow the B6312 for 2.0 mls crossing 1 set of traffic lights (Sacriston). Into Witton Gilbert downhill 2nd house past the school on the right hand side is Bancroft.
  • Bus from durham city centre (4.0 miles)
    from bus station in north rd, take the number 15 bus to Consett get off front st, Witton Gilbert, walk towards Sacriston on Sacriton Lane, 50yds on left hand side.
